LAKE CONROE, Texas — The Turtlebox Audio Lake Conroe Big Bass Classic presented by Visit Conroe delivered one of the most dramatic finishes in recent Big Bass Tour history as anglers competed for three days and $245,000 in guaranteed prizes and payouts on one of Texas’ premier bass fisheries.

Anglers traveled from 23 different states and Canada to compete on Lake Conroe, chasing hourly payouts and the opportunity to land the tournament’s biggest bass.

In true Big Bass Tour fashion, the final day came down to the wire.

When the scales closed Sunday afternoon, Tristan Stewart stood atop the leaderboard with a massive 11.65-pound largemouth, securing the overall victory. Even more impressive is how the fish was caught. Stewart landed the winning bass during the first hour of the final day while fishing from his grandfather’s pontoon boat without the use of electronics!

The early-morning giant would ultimately hold up through the remainder of the tournament, but not without a serious late challenge.

With just three hours remaining on the final day, Lee Allen brought a huge bass to the scales weighing 11.63 pounds, missing the top spot by just two hundredths of a pound, making it one of the closest finishes the Big Bass Tour has seen.

Top Overall Weights – Lake Conroe
  1. Tristan Stewart – 11.65 lbs
  2. Lee Allen – 11.63 lbs
  3. Andrew Smith – 10.40 lbs
  4. Spencer Fair – 9.08 lbs
  5. Kasey Boatright – 9.05 lbs

From the first cast Friday morning to the final weigh-in Sunday afternoon, Lake Conroe delivered big bass and dramatic leaderboard swings that kept anglers and spectators on edge all weekend.

Stewart’s winning catch will be remembered not just for its size, but for the story behind it. Proving that sometimes all it takes is the right cast at the right time, even from a pontoon boat with no electronics.

The Big Bass Tour now continues its 2026 season and will be heading to Clarks Hill Lake, GA.
