Deep Dive | Updated Conditions Report for Clarks Hill

Published on 03-13-2024

Here’s a quick breakdown of the current conditions on Clarks Hill this week, brought to you by the Deep Dive App.

The water clarity on Clarks Hill has been relatively consistent over the past 2 weeks, with some clear water on the lower end and dirty water in the major creeks. The upper river section was clear 2 weeks ago but has dirtied up as the tournament approaches.

Based on Deep Dive’s database of over 10,000 tournament patterns from Top 10 finishes in major fishing tournaments, the lower end of the lake has historically produced the most top 10 finishes in in the pre-spawn period of the year. The back end of pockets and creeks are the most productive, followed by main lake points and pockets.

Winds will blow strong from the southwest on days 1 and 3, impacting the northern banks and pockets across the lake. This may activate blueback herring on main lake points and banks, creating a great feeding opportunity for pre-spawn bass. Winds will lay down slightly on day 2 and blow from the west. Despite this, many banks will still be impacted by wind on all three days of competition. Check the wind effects map in the Deep Dive app for hour-by-hour forecasts of the wind affected banks across Clarks Hill.
